Founded by Edward “Buck” Parker, Magellan International has a rich history in the specialty chemical and lubrication industry. Parker’s journey began with Sun Coast Chemicals of Daytona in 1986, where he developed a high-performance race car engine-oil additive that helped NASCAR’s #4 Kodak team win the Daytona 500 three times by gaining an additional 13 horsepower.

Over the years, Parker's company evolved, re branding to The X-1R Corporation to explore broader branding opportunities and developing a range of high-performance products. Parker went on to lead distribution in over 40 countries industrially and major retailers such as Wal-Mart on a national basis.

In 2012, Buck Parker founded Magellan International with a mission to create the highest quality lubrication products available. After 11 years of relentless innovation, Magellan International and Daytona 1 have launched some of the most premium and highest-performing products in the world. These products deliver unmatched power, speed, dependability, and endurance, setting new performance standards in the industry.
